Kung wala ka gaano karaming pera, you'll use certain things until they drop dead or fully consumed or it already made it ROI. People that have spare cash act differently, they will buy stuff here and there. Talking about e-readers, I think a person only needs one but recent Kindle release will test your patience even if you have one and still works.

I have two e-readers. A Kobo Glo bought from Alibaba it looks like refurbished and the other one is a Kindle Paperwhite 3. They are bought aroud 2017 and 2018 respectively. Salamat sa katas ng 13 month pay and I'm able to purchase them. Grateful enough that I can read books on the go with these devices instead using my smartphone.

When the Kindle PW3 arrived it became my main e-reader. The advantage of the Kobo Glo was its expandable memory via SD card. On the hand, the Kindle can sync via multiple devices via the phone app to the e-reader. The latter won for me, as I send to Kindle .mobi before, now its .epub. whenever I found something to read or interest me to read.

Then recently I'm exploring to jailbreak/modding both ereaders thinking if they will run faster. For the Kobo Glo, it works and I'm happy for the mod I did there. The modified fonts are amazing too. I tag the developer on one of my post at X. Then goes the Kindle. This is my 2nd time doing it, as I did it last summer (in the Philippines is around April/May) but I reset it because of the faulty power button.

Nagtiis lang ako nitong mga nagdaang buwan sa pag-gamit ng Kindle ko kahit sablay na yung power button. Whenever I switch it on, it reboots before going to the main menu. I leave it open after using kasi hindi ko na din mapatay dahil nga sa topak na power button.

And yes, I did the jailbreak process, then it restart, and then bootloop started. There are solutions online but unfortunately nothing works. Ganyan talaga ang buhay minsan nasa taas, minsan nasa baba. Minsan mananaili ka na lang nasa baba at wala ng pag-asang tumaas.

I'm writing now (again) out of frustration, I know it's my fault and I meant. If I didnt jailbreak it, di sana nagagamit ko pa siya ng normal ngayon. If someone would help me that would be a miracle.
