Chapter 49 – The End Goal
Looks like I won't achieve my goal of 100 chapters this year, but I'll continue to write.
Whenever I teach how to play the guitars, I always ask the learner what he or she wants to learn. Most of the people I taught are beginners. As someone said, “begin in the end of mind,” something like that.
It took me 2 months to learn to play cleanly the open chords and the basic bar chords. There is no song yet, and the interest in playing lead guitars is out of my head. I just want to strum and play clean. As my old man says back then, “mag gujangjang ka na naman?”. I was addicted to the process of learning to play the guitars.
After a decade, it became fruitful... somehow, but I'm happy with it.
So, what is your end in mind? Things and stuff you want to be dedicated to. Maybe, world peace? Greenier earth? Less carbon emissions? Stop poverty? Never again? Patalsikin si Erap? Have a heart check, but don't follow it.
As someone said, but he is not a Ghost Fighter Character, aka Yuyu Hakushu in Nippon:
“The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? — Jeremiah 17:9
The majority tells follow your heart, does your heart really know where ever you will go? (So lately.. )
For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He watches all his paths. — Proverbs 5:21
I don't know about you, but someone is looking above, who knows better than you. It's also a good thing to ask Him because, in the end, everyone will face Him.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. — Revelation 20:11-15
