Chapter 79 – The Feel of Playing Music

At the age of 13 I learn to play the guitar. Within a span of one year I started playing in a band, our church music team. During that time when the adult members are leaving the town to find work abroad. It's sad that they also need to leave the church but that's life. On the other hand, it's a blessing for newbies like me to be on the frontline playing the instrument.
Excitement
During the younger years of my playing where I also learned the bass guitar and drums except the piano/keyboards. There is excitement every time I hold the instrument. Even the playing is not that good I still continue. Through time, I choose to improve, especially the technical aspect of the guitar playing. This is also the time I started listening to different genres but the genre I dig deeper during this years are into rock/metal.
Joy
College years, during that summer camp when youth groups from different churches gather together. I met new friends, and we started a band. Wrote our own songs and performed on occasional church gatherings either its youth conference or evangelistic concerts. Our sound is somewhere near Paramore, Flyleaf/Fireflight but with Brook Fraser on vocals. The band was short live but it's a joy that I'm a part of it.
Frustration
I left the church where I was part of the music team decades ago. Since then I didn't hold the instrument weekly. Recently I became part of small church but I play drums during that time. Through the years of playing there is a part of me that is frustrated. There is something that I cannot attain, something I will never achieve of. Even here in writing, this frustrates me more while I throw the words here. I don't know if my grammar is correct but I don't know.
